Nature Tic-Tac-Toe:
I know the preschool students in my classroom really like to play tic -tac- toe with other items than paper and pencil, we often use fun erasers or different color pom poms. Take a quick walk outside this week and find some sticks and rocks to make a nature Tic-Tac-Toe board.
Flashlight Star Search:
This week we are working on saying the number that comes next when given a "running start". For example; "What comes
after 1, 2, 3, 4, .....? What comes after 6, 7, 8,...?"
A fun camping activity would be to 'star gaze'. Write numbers 1-10, or 1-20 depending on your child's ability, and place the stars on the wall. Turn the lights off and ask your child to shine the light on the next number in your series of numbers.
3, 4, 5, _____ 5, 6, 7, ______ 10,11,12, ______
8,9,10, ______ 10,11 ,12, ______ 2,3,4, ____
Paper Plate Adding:
Grab a paper plate just like you would use while camping and draw a line across the center of your plate. Next, draw a line to divide the top half in half again. Write a plus sign in between. Roll one die. Place that number of buttons, chocolate chips, marshmallows, cubes, etc. in the first section of your plate.
Roll the die again. Place that number of items in the second section.Add the two sections together and put the correct number of items in the bottom half of the plate. Work together with your child to say the correct number sentence; three plus two equals five, 3+2=5.

We're Going on A Bear Hunt Yoga Time:
Stretch out on the floor and have some yoga fun as a family.
Our fort with the fireplace going "outside". Again, Hunter doesn't like pictures but Karter loves being in the spotlight. :)
Great job Beckett and Decker!!
Beckett and Decker loved the Bear Hunt yoga today!
